Turkish Chicken with Tomato Sauce and Yogurt over Bread

This is a bit like Iskender kebab, only with chicken!

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Heat 1/4 cup oil and cook chicken thoroughly.
  2. Add salt, paprika, and pepper flakes. Remove from heat.
  3. Chop stale bread into bite-sized pieces. Bake at 200 °C (400 °F) for 10 min.
  4. Heat remaining oil and saute onions.
  5. Add tomatoes, cook 10 min.
  6. Add salt, mint, and thyme. Cook 2 min, remove from heat.
  7. Serve: bread (bottom) –> tomato sauce –> yogurt –> chicken (top)
