====== Carolina BBQ Pulled Pork ====== ---- ===== Ingredients: ===== * 1 (5-lb) bone-in pork shoulder roast * 1 Tb salt * 1/2 tsp black pepper * 1 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar * 2 Tb brown sugar * 1 1/2 Tb hot pepper sauce * 2 tsp cayenne pepper * 2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes ===== Directions: ===== - Place pork shoulder in slow cooker. Season with salt and pepper. Pour vinegar around the pork. Cook on low for 12 hours. - Remove pork. Discard bones. Strain off liquid, reserving 2 cups. Shred pork with forks, then return to cooker. - Combine reserved liquid, brown sugar, hot pepper sauce, cayenne, and red pepper flakes. Add to cooker and mix. - Serve on buns. Top with coleslaw.
